Ms. Hattori’s appointment is part of the company’s significant international expansion strategy. In 2014, Phillips opened a new London office in Berkeley Square in the heart of Mayfair, and the following year launched its new Asian headquarters in the prestigious Landmark building in Hong Kong. Following its first successful Hong Kong sale of watches in December 2015, Phillips plans to hold sales of both Western and Asian contemporary art in Hong Kong later in 2016.

Ms. Hattori has significant experience in relationship management, deal origination and marketing in Japan. Most recently, she was a senior consultant for Spencer Stuart & Associates, a leading international search firm. Ms. Hattori was also a Director of Aetos Japan, a prominent financial services firm, where she developed and managed client relationships and covered a variety of industries, with an emphasis on international financial institutions. She started her career as an analyst with McKinsey & Co., the global consulting firm.
